Templeport St. Aidan's Centenary
Preparations are well underway for centenary weekend. A summary of the programme is as follows:
Friday Night 12th November 7pm - 12.30 (or later) at Clubrooms
The highlight is the exhibition of memorabilia, workshops, story telling a nod tall yarn, interviews etc.
followed by an irish night in Marquee with local artists to end with a ceildhe and dancing or retire to the
locals. The Sean Baxter Memorial will be played Templeport V Kildallan under the new floodlights at 7.30pm.
Proceeds to Festival Fund St. Lukes. Templeport ladies play at 6.30pm. Refreshments of all kinds will be
available throughout the night. Centenary draw for fabulous prizes. 1st Prize Flat screen Plasma Tv.
Tickets ?5 each or 3 for ?10 on sale. Draw takes place at the Banquet on Saturday 13th
Saturday 13th November: St. Aidan's Park, Bawnboy
10.00am - 1.00pm: U8, U10 & U12s boys and girls games
11.00am - 2.00pm: U14, U16 etc. games. Exhibition open 12 noon - 4pm
4.30pm: Masters Football V Derrylin
8.00pm: Mass for deceased members in St. Mogues Church, Bawnboy
9.00pm: Banquet in Slieve Russell Hotel *** special guest will be Micheal O'Muircheartaigh ***
Presentations to Newly Weds, Music & Dancing with "Me & Him", Raffle, Auction of memorabilia & signed Jerseys, Balls etc.
Mingle with all the guests from your era.

Sunday 14th November:
2.00pm: Sponsored walk/run 50 miles by Templeport underage in association with cancer care around the pitches.
Only 16 sponsored cards out so please support. Exhibition open 2 pm - 6pm. Centenary Booklet on sale all weekend or
from shops.

The Cavan County Board annual convention will be held in Templeport as part of the centenary celebrations on
Thursday 16th December at 7.30pm
Templeport A.G.M. has been fixed for Sunday 5th December at 3pm.
Annual Christmas & New Year Draw
The annual draw for €8,500 in prizes will be held on Saturday 15th January 2011.
A big effort this year will help clear the balance on the floodlights.
Floodlights funding
The club acknowledges the balance of the funding from the Sports Council recently and the club would
like to congratulate Ronan Kellegher Electrical and all the sub contractors for the great job a credit to all.
Also thanks to Tony Mc Cann secretary and Co-Ordinator Thomas Doonan as well as our local Councillor Sean Smith
and Minister Brendan Smith for their assistance.
Coaching
Coaching with Damien and his team for Boys U 10 has completed for the summer term. It is hoped to start autumn
activities for this age group in early October.
Girls U-10 & U-12 with Joe O Reilly, Martin Mc Dermott and their coaches continue with games coming up. U14 girls
beaten in Semi-final. The U-16 girls are through to the final as are the minor ladies who play Knockbride in the Final soon.
See Helena. The senior ladies have 3 league games left over the coming weeks.
