At
the present time in Templeport GFC, all roads are leading
to the May Bank holiday weekend. An historic weekend lies
in store for the club and all its patrons.
All
belonging to Templeport St. Aidan’s GFC are counting down
the days to May 2nd 2005. The second day of the upcoming summer
promises to host one of the greatest events in the history
of the club. The official opening of the club’s new grounds
and attendant facilities on May 3rd will round off an action
filled weekend, with Cavan taking on Dublin, the main event
of the day.
The
weekend begins with the launch of the Templeport Booklet and
the new club website www.templeportgfc.com, in The Mucky Duck
at 10:00pm on Saturday, 1st of May.
Sunday
promises to be very entertaining with Templeport’s finest
in action in the league. This will be followed by a banquet
dinner-dance in the Slieve Russell Hotel with an expected
crowd of 400 attending.

On
Monday 2nd, Templeport GFC will host Cavan Vs Dublin in the
highlight event of the weekend. This game is preceded by Cavan
ladies taking on Leitrim ladies. The opening is expected to
attract a large crowd, with the official ceremony being performed
by none other than the president of the Gaelic Athletic Association,
Sean Kelly.
The
weekend is guaranteed to be a huge success for the club with
all being welcome to take part in the festivities and celebrations.
